Bonding:

Bonding uses tooth-colored composite filling material to close gaps or spaces between teeth, to change the shape of teeth, or to mask the appearance of discolored teeth. If a tooth is worn or chipped, bonding can repair it and return it to its original shape. The composite material is extremely strong and will protect and strengthen the tooth.

Bonding procedures usually do not require any anesthetic because very little tooth structure is removed. As the composite material is layered, it is hardened with the use of a handheld UV light.

Porcelain Veneers:

Porcelain veneers are becoming increasingly popular because they provide beautiful natural-looking results. Teeth that have gaps or spaces between them, are discolored, badly shaped, or crooked can often be corrected with porcelain veneers. Teeth that have been damaged by trauma, or teeth that have developmental defects, can also be restored with porcelain veneers.

Designed to cover the front surface of the teeth, porcelain veneers are custom-made, very thin, translucent, and natural-looking. To construct veneers, the teeth are prepared by removing a small amount of the outer surface of enamel. This allows for the porcelain veneers to fit against the teeth and just below the gumline without being bulky.
