Bonding:

Bonding uses tooth-colored composite filling material to close gaps or spaces between teeth, to change the shape of teeth, or to mask the appearance of discolored teeth. If a tooth is worn or chipped, bonding can repair it and return it to its original shape. The composite material is extremely strong and will protect and strengthen the tooth.

Bonding procedures usually do not require any anesthetic because very little tooth structure is removed. As the composite material is layered, it is hardened with the use of a handheld UV light.

Teeth Whitening/Bleaching:

Teeth will naturally darken over time, but they will also darken or become stained from things like coffee, tea, and smoking. The most effective teeth whitening products are those that are dispensed or used by a dentist. Many over-the-counter products are available, and depending on your teeth, these products can make an improvement, but they are not as strong and may take longer.

Professional in-home teeth whitening procedures use a bleaching gel placed into a custom tray that fits over your teeth. To make the trays, impressions are taken of your teeth. The trays are thin and cover only your teeth, in order to protect the gums from the gel. The trays are worn one or two hours a day for about two weeks, or until you are satisfied with the result. Over time, you can give your teeth a whitening "boost" once a month or so to maintain them.

At Hudec Dental we offer Zoom 2 Whitening.  The Zoom 2 Whitening technology affords our patients a quicker way to a whiter, brighter smile in just one visit.
